Application for Sick Leave
Model application to the headmaster for sick leave / leave of absence, with format rules.
An application for sick leave is written to the headmaster to ask for leave when a student is ill and cannot attend school.
How to write it
- Write the date on the left, then the recipient block: “The Headmaster”, the school name and place.
- Add a clear Subject line stating the purpose, then the salutation “Sir”.
- In the body, state your illness, how many days of leave you need, and request it politely.
- Close with “I remain, Sir, your obedient student”, then your name, class, roll and section.
