What is the SAT?
The SAT is the standardised test most US universities use for undergraduate (bachelor's) admission, run by the College Board. For international students it is a key way to show academic readiness alongside your school grades, and a strong score can strengthen an application and unlock merit scholarships.
The SAT is now fully digital and adaptive, taken on the College Board's Bluebook app at a test centre. It is shorter than the old paper test — about 2 hours 14 minutes — with two sections: Reading and Writing, and Math. A graphing calculator (Desmos) is built in for the whole Math section.
