Dear Karim,
Thank you for your last letter. You wanted to know about my aim in life. Today I shall gladly tell you about it.
My aim in life is to become a doctor. Ours is a poor country where many people, especially in the villages, suffer and die without proper treatment. Whenever I see such suffering, my heart aches, and I feel a strong desire to stand by these helpless people.
So I have made up my mind to be a doctor. After passing the H.S.C. examination, I shall try to get admitted into a medical college. When I qualify, I shall serve the poor of my village and treat them free of charge. I believe real happiness lies in serving others.
No more today. Give my salam to your parents and love to your little sister. Write to me soon and tell me about your own aim.
