A dialogue between two friends about food adulteration and how it harms public health.

A dialogue between Nusrat and Tania

Nusrat: Hi Tania, you look upset today. Is everything all right?

Tania: Hi Nusrat. Yes, I am worried. My little brother fell sick after eating some sweets.

Nusrat: Oh, I am sorry to hear that. It may be because of food adulteration.

Tania: Food adulteration? What exactly does that mean?

Nusrat: It means mixing harmful or low quality things with food to earn more money.

Tania: That sounds terrible. What kind of things do dishonest sellers mix?

Nusrat: They use chemicals, formalin in fish and fruits, and bad colours in sweets.

Tania: How does this affect our health? My brother was really ill.

Nusrat: Adulterated food causes stomach problems, kidney damage and even serious diseases like cancer.

Tania: That is frightening. Why do some businessmen do such a cruel thing?

Nusrat: Only for extra profit. They care about money, not about people's lives.

Tania: Then how can we stop this dangerous practice in our country?

Nusrat: The government should make strict laws and mobile courts should punish the guilty sellers.

Tania: And we people must be aware and buy food from trusted places.

Nusrat: Exactly. Awareness is the best protection. I hope your brother gets well soon.

Tania: Thank you, Nusrat, for the helpful talk. Take care and see you later.
