IELTS Reading: True / False / Not Given
You decide whether a statement agrees with, contradicts, or is not mentioned in the passage.
How to answer, step by step
- Read the statement and underline the keywords.
- Scan the passage for those keywords or their synonyms.
- Decide: True (the text states it), False (the text states the opposite), or Not Given (the text says nothing about it).
Key tip
Remember: Never use outside knowledge. If the passage does not confirm or deny it, the answer is Not Given — not False.
No — there is no penalty for wrong answers, so always write something for every question.
