Bank Viva Preparation

What the bank viva asks, the banking terms to know, the documents, and how to answer.

Bank Viva Preparation

বাংলায় পড়তে চাও? দেখো: ব্যাংক ভাইভা প্রস্তুতি

A bank viva is more subject-based than other government interviews — banking and economic fundamentals are asked directly. Stumbling on “what is a bank”, “what is inflation” or “why do loans turn bad” makes a gap in preparation obvious.

The concepts you must know

  • Types of bank — central, commercial, specialised and Islamic banking.
  • What Bangladesh Bank does — monetary policy, supervision, reserve management.
  • Core terms — inflation, repo and reverse repo, CRR, SLR, non-performing loans.
  • Types of deposit and loan, letters of credit, remittance and foreign exchange.
  • Digital banking — mobile financial services, agent banking, online transactions.
  • The current economic picture — inflation, remittance flows and the reserve position.

Even if you did not study economics or business, these are mandatory — the panel assumes anyone wanting a banking job knows about banking.

Where the questions come from

On the day

  1. Arrange every certificate, marksheet and photocopy in order in one file.
  2. Wear formal dress — presentation counts in banking.
  3. The day before, check the latest economic news and the current inflation rate.
  4. Some questions may be in English — practise answering briefly and clearly.
  5. If you do not know, say so plainly — inventing an answer does the most harm.
