Secondary and higher-secondary education in Bangladesh runs under 11 boards — nine general education boards, one Madrasah board and one Technical board. Checking a result, applying for a board challenge or correcting a certificate all require your own board’s code and website.
The 11 education boards of Bangladesh and their codes
SSC is held under 11 boards — nine general education boards plus the Madrasah and Technical boards — on the same day at the same time. The three-letter code below is what you type in a result or board-challenge SMS.

What the boards do for you
- Registration, form fill-up and issuing admit cards.
- Conducting exams, marking scripts and publishing results.
- Re-scrutiny (the board challenge) and publishing corrected results.
- Issuing certificates, marksheets and transcripts, and correcting names and dates of birth.
- Recognising institutions, granting teaching permission and assigning EIIN numbers.
The right way to contact a board
- Start with your head teacher or exam officer — most applications must go through the institution.
- Download the relevant notice and form from the notices section of the board’s website.
- Attach your birth registration, registration card and a copy of the result to the application.
- Pay the fee through Sonali Bank or whatever channel the board specifies, and keep the receipt.
