The medical admission test is the most competitive in Bangladesh — a single national exam with far more candidates than seats. The paper itself is just one hour and 100 MCQs, but your SSC and HSC GPA also weigh heavily on the final score.

Mark distributions, eligibility rules and fees are revised almost every year. Always cross-check against the current official circular from the university or admission committee before you apply.
The mark scheme
- The MCQ split: Biology 30, Chemistry 25, Physics 20, English 15, General Knowledge 10.
- Each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.
- Below 40 in the MCQ you are not considered for the merit list at all.
- The general-knowledge part leans on the history of Bangladesh and the Liberation War.
- A second attempt carries a fixed deduction from the final score.

Preparation priorities
- Give Biology the most time — it carries 30 marks and is where the merit order separates.
- Read the textbook line by line — medical questions come from its fine detail.
- In Chemistry focus on organic chemistry, and in Physics on the formula-driven chapters.
- For English, grammar and vocabulary in small daily doses — an easy way to lock in 15 marks.
- Build one fact sheet on the history of Bangladesh and the Liberation War and revisit it often.
- With negative marking, control your guessing — leave it if you are unsure.
