The years of shortened and rearranged syllabuses after the pandemic are over — the SSC 2027 and equivalent exams run on the full syllabus, with full marks and full duration. No textbook chapter is left out.
What “full syllabus” means
A full syllabus means every part of the Class 9-10 textbooks is examinable, each subject carries its full marks (usually 100) and runs its full duration (usually 3 hours for the written part). Unlike the short-syllabus years, nothing is dropped for 2027.
The NCTB (National Curriculum and Textbook Board) publishes each subject’s curriculum together with the question pattern and mark distribution — that is the definitive document. Follow the NCTB syllabus, not a guide book’s or a coaching sheet’s version.
Where to download the NCTB syllabus
- Go to nctb.gov.bd.
- Look under “Pages” or “Notices” for the syllabus for the 2027 SSC and equivalent exams.
- Download the subject-wise PDF — it carries the question pattern and mark distribution alongside the curriculum.
- If you need the textbooks themselves, get them from our NCTB textbook download page.
Subjects by group
SSC has three groups — Science, Business Studies and Humanities. Some subjects are compulsory for everyone; the rest depend on your group.
| Group | Main group subjects |
|---|---|
| Compulsory for all | Bangla, English, Mathematics, ICT, Religion & Moral Education, Bangladesh & Global Studies |
| Science | Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Higher Mathematics |
| Business Studies | Accounting, Finance & Banking, Business Entrepreneurship, General Science |
| Humanities | Geography & Environment, Civics & Citizenship, Economics, History of Bangladesh & World Civilisation, General Science |
| Optional (any group) | Agricultural Studies, Home Science, Music, Fine & Applied Arts |
Each subject’s detailed syllabus, code and preparation tactics live in its own guide in our subject section.
How to turn the syllabus into a study plan
- List every chapter of every subject in a notebook with three columns beside it: read, noted, questions solved.
- Count backwards from the exam date and reserve the last 45 days for revision and model tests only.
- Split the remaining time in proportion to each subject’s number of chapters — more days for the bigger subjects.
- Keep one empty day a week so you can catch up when you slip behind.
- Once a month, check the list and work out what percentage of the syllabus is done.

Yes — the NCTB usually publishes the question pattern and mark distribution in the same notice as the curriculum. Look in the notices section of nctb.gov.bd.
A guide book can help, but the NCTB’s published curriculum is definitive. Where a guide and the NCTB list disagree, follow the NCTB.
