The most important step after SSC results is applying for Class 11 admission. The whole process runs online at xiclassadmission.gov.bd and selection is purely on merit — your SSC GPA and your order of preference decide which college you get.

What it costs and what you need
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| Application fee | BDT 220 (one fee covers all your choices) |
| Payment methods | bKash, Nagad, Rocket |
| College choices | Up to 10 colleges, groups or shifts |
| Website | xiclassadmission.gov.bd |
| What you need | Your SSC roll, registration, board, passing year and a mobile number |
The fee is paid once — choosing all ten colleges costs no more. If anyone asks for a per-college fee, it is a scam.
The application steps
- Go to xiclassadmission.gov.bd and click the application option.
- Verify your details with your SSC roll, registration number, board and passing year.
- Check that your name, GPA and group appear correctly.
- Verify your mobile number by OTP — every later SMS goes to that number.
- Choose colleges, groups and shifts and arrange them in order of preference (up to 10).
- Pay the BDT 220 fee via bKash, Nagad or Rocket.
- Submit, then download and print a copy of the application.
Ordering your choices — the part that matters most
Your whole result depends on the ordering. The system works down the list — you are selected for the highest-placed college your GPA qualifies you for, and nothing below it.
- Put your dream colleges in the first two or three slots — if your GPA is enough, that is where you land.
- Fill the middle four or five with colleges where your GPA gives you a solid chance.
- Use the last two or three for local colleges where you are almost certain to get in.
- Find out last year’s cut-off GPAs and build a realistic list around them.
- Select the group and shift carefully — different shifts of the same college count as separate choices.
The biggest mistake is filling all ten slots with famous colleges. If your GPA does not match you are selected nowhere — and by the next phase the good colleges have fewer seats left.
After selection — confirmation and migration
- If selected, you must confirm by paying the confirmation fee within the window, or the selection is cancelled.
- Once confirmed, migration stays on automatically — if a seat opens at a higher choice, you move up to it.
- If migration moves you up, you cannot go back to the earlier college — so think your ordering through.
- Without confirmation you must apply afresh in the next phase.
- If you are still unplaced after all three phases, follow the board’s special instructions for what comes next.
What to bring for the final admission
- Your original and photocopied SSC marksheet and testimonial.
- Copies of your SSC registration card and admit card.
- A copy of the online application and the confirmation receipt.
- Recent passport-size photographs, as many as the college specifies.
- A copy of your birth registration certificate and the college’s admission fee.
Frequently asked questions
The application fee is BDT 220, payable via bKash, Nagad or Rocket. One application covers up to 10 college choices at no extra cost.
Up to 10 colleges, groups or shifts, in order of preference. A different group or shift at the same college counts as a separate choice.
The selection is cancelled and you must apply again in the next phase. The safest course is to confirm on the day the result is published.
Migration runs automatically after confirmation. If a seat opens at a college higher in your list you are moved there; you never move down, and you cannot return to the earlier college.
Selection is purely on merit, so the top colleges need a high GPA. But there are many strong colleges nationwide with lower cut-offs — a realistic preference list still lands you a good one.
