Frequently asked questions
Five, broadly — the GST cluster, the agricultural cluster, combined engineering (CKRUET), the central medical and dental test, and each university’s own standalone test. Each has its own application, fee and dates.
It varies by unit and university. The cluster’s science unit typically needs 3.50 in each exam and 8.00 combined; humanities 3.00 and 6.00; medical 4.00 and 9.00.
Your SSC GPA is multiplied by 15 (up to 75) and your HSC GPA by 25 (up to 125). With the 100-mark MCQ, the merit order is out of 300.
As many as your eligibility and budget allow — four to six including the cluster is a good balance. Relying on one alone is the biggest risk.
Follow the later waiting-list rounds, apply to National University honours and the private universities, and check whether a second attempt is possible. The safest route is to enrol somewhere and prepare alongside it.
