How to answer, step by step

  1. Find the writer’s view in the passage.
  2. Compare it with the statement.
  3. Yes (matches the writer), No (contradicts), Not Given (the writer expresses no view on it).

Key tip

Remember: Watch opinion words like “believe”, “argue” and “should”. You are matching views, not facts.
