A test of speed — knowing it does not help if you cannot finish.

Bank Preliminary Exam Preparation

বাংলায় পড়তে চাও? দেখো: ব্যাংক প্রিলিমিনারি পরীক্ষার প্রস্তুতি

The bank preliminary exists to sieve a very large pool. The questions are not hard; there are simply many of them and little time. Preparation should therefore aim at doing familiar things faster.

Speed is the whole task

In the preliminary, a candidate who knows everything but cannot finish loses to one who knows less and works faster. So in the final phase of preparation, drilling familiar questions against a clock matters more than learning anything new. Two full model tests a week is the simplest route to that habit.

When negative marking applies

Where negative marking applies, guessing becomes expensive. The rule is simple: if you can rule out at least two options with confidence, choosing among the rest is reasonable; if you have no idea at all, leave it. The provision is stated separately in each circular, so check it beforehand.

The final month

  1. Stop picking up new books.
  2. Sit two full model tests a week.
  3. After each, copy the errors into your notebook.
  4. In the last week, read only that notebook.

Question count, timing and the negative marking provision are set in each recruitment circular; check the current one.
