Class 9-10 English 1st Paper Book
বাংলায় পড়তে চাও? দেখো: নবম-দশম শ্রেণির ইংরেজি ১ম পত্র বই
English 1st Paper questions do not come only from inside the book — there are unseen passages too. So the book is not something to memorise but a tool for building the ability to read English.
What the book is built from
The book is arranged in units, each with several lessons, vocabulary and exercises. The topics come from familiar ground — daily life, environment, health, technology, culture — so that while reading, the language rather than the subject is the challenge.

What the exam asks
The unseen passage is where memorising the book runs out: only vocabulary and reading speed help there, and those are built by reading this book regularly.
| Part | Source |
|---|---|
| Seen passage | From the book’s units |
| Unseen passage | From outside the book |
| Writing | Paragraph, letter, email, story |
How to use it
- Read each lesson once without a dictionary and see how much you follow.
- Then note the unfamiliar words, look them up and read it again.
- Use each word in a sentence of your own.
- Answer the exercises in writing, not in your head.
Frequently asked questions

Yes. The seen passage can come from any unit, and the vocabulary is spread across the whole book.
From the early units, slowly. Understand one lesson fully before the next — rushing does not work here.
