Best Colleges in Jashore — the Class XI Admission List

Jashore has an advantage most cities in the country do not: the education board’s head office is here. Colleges across ten districts — Khulna, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Kushtia among them — sit under this board, and its office is in Jashore town.
That sounds like an administrative detail, but it has practical value. Correcting a registration, fixing a spelling, chasing a re-scrutiny, collecting a certificate — most students need one of these across two years of higher secondary, and a student from another district has to travel to Jashore for it. Living in the town makes it a morning’s errand.
The third thing is scale. Jashore has a moderate number of colleges and only a handful of established ones inside the town, yet students come from across the board’s whole area. Competition at the main colleges therefore runs higher than the size of the town would suggest.

How to use this list
The convenience of having the board nearby is real, but it is not on its own a reason to pick a college. Look at teaching, the streams offered and the commute first; treat proximity to the board as a bonus rather than a deciding factor.
Because the board’s area is large, students from Khulna, Kushtia, Satkhira or Jhenaidah also list Jashore colleges. If you are from Jashore yourself, allow for that extra competition and keep a college from your own area low on the list.
Commuting daily from the outlying upazilas — Chaugachha, Jhikargachha, Keshabpur, Sharsha — works for some students and not for others. Work out what time you would actually have to leave to make a morning-shift class, in practice rather than in theory, before you enrol.

The 2026-27 admission policy was published on 24 August 2026, and applications open on 2 September 2026. A warning: many websites are still republishing last year's (2025-26) schedule as "2026-27" with only the year changed — those pages show applications opening in July, which is wrong for this cycle. Check the original notice on xiclassadmission.gov.bd before you apply.
Frequently asked questions
Govt. Michael Madhusudan College, Jashore. “MM College” is the common short form; when searching the central portal it is safer to use the full name or the EIIN.
Jashore, Khulna, Bagerhat, Satkhira, Kushtia, Chuadanga, Meherpur, Jhenaidah, Magura and Narail. Khulna is a divisional city but has no education board of its own, so its colleges sit under this board too.
Much of it goes through your college, and that is the normal route. Some matters do need the student or a guardian to attend in person. The quickest way to find out which is which is to ask your own college office.
The main colleges admit through the central online application — the names here came from that central roster. Services-run institutions may apply their own screening, so read their notices separately.
