A real advantage of government job exams is that the Bangla chapters are almost the same across them. Banks, teacher registration, primary recruitment or a ministry post — the questions draw from the same well, so one thorough reading serves many exams.

Rules and lists — two ways of reading
The chapters split into two kinds. Sandhi, samas, karak and affixes are rule-based — understand them once and you can apply them to unfamiliar words. Idioms, one-word substitutes and literature are list-based, accumulated a little at a time. Confusing the two kinds of reading wastes time.
One notebook for every exam
Because the chapters are shared, there is no need for separate notes per exam. Keep the rules in one notebook and the lists in another, and go through both before every exam. Within months those two notebooks become more useful than any guide on the market, because they contain precisely your weak points.
Where marks are most often lost
- Spelling — write your own recurring errors out separately.
- Samas — guessing without writing the expansion.
- Literary dates — better to leave than to guess.
- Idioms — trying to take them all in at the end.
