SSC Subject Code List — Codes for Every Subject

A subject code is more than a number — you write it on your exam form, on the OMR sheet and in a board-challenge SMS. One wrong code on a form can put the wrong subject on your result, so keep this list to hand.

The complete SSC subject code list

For a two-paper subject the first number is the 1st Paper code and the second is the 2nd Paper (for example Bangla 1st Paper 101, 2nd Paper 102).

Codes for Religion & Moral Education

Religion & Moral Education is compulsory, but the code differs by the student’s religion.

Where you will need a subject code

• On registration and form fill-up — each subject’s code is entered separately.
• In the exam hall, filling the subject-code circles on the OMR sheet.
• In a board-challenge (RSC) SMS — the code of the subject whose script you want re-checked.
• On an application to sit an improvement or failed-subject exam the following year.

What a wrong code does, and how to fix it

1. A wrong code on the form prints the wrong subject on your admit card — check every subject the moment you receive it.
2. If you find an error, contact your institution’s exam officer immediately.
3. The institution applies to the board for a correction — there is a deadline, so do not delay.
4. After the deadline a correction becomes almost impossible, so checking early is the only safe course.

Boards revise subject codes from time to time. Always cross-check against your board’s notice for the current year before filling in the form.
