SSC Suggestions & Question Bank — How to Use Them Properly

Most of what circulates before an exam as a “100% common suggestion” is useless — and claims of leaked questions are almost always fake, and a punishable crime besides. But one kind of suggestion genuinely works: the one you build yourself by analysing past board papers.
Five steps to building your own suggestion
- Gather five to eight years of past papers for one subject, from every board.
- Draw a grid: chapters down the left, year and board across the top.
- Mark which chapter each question came from.
- When you add it up you will see some chapters appear almost every year — that is your priority list.
- Study in that order — but never drop a chapter entirely, because if a question comes from a chapter you skipped, your choice of seven narrows.
Where to find past board papers
- Many boards publish years of past papers in the question and notice sections of their website.
- Your school library and older students’ collections — the easiest source of all.
- Published question-bank books, which arrange papers by board and year.
- Your own institution’s selection and half-yearly papers — these follow the board pattern too.
The right way to use a question bank
- Solve it yourself before looking at the answer — reading an answer is reading, not learning.
- Solve against the clock so you build the timing habit for the hall.
- Afterwards, put your answer beside the model answer and find the differences.
- If you keep getting the same kind of question wrong, go back to the textbook for that concept.
Question-leak claims — why to stay away
Before every exam, social media fills with offers to sell “the real question paper”. Almost all of it is fraud — you pay for a fake paper, and studying that fake paper wrecks your actual preparation.
More importantly, taking part in a question leak is a criminal offence, and being caught means cancelled exams and severe penalties. Do not join such groups or pages, and tell a teacher if someone approaches you.
