Teaching Resources and Classroom Documents
These are the documents a teacher writes rather than the ones students complete: the plan, the rubric, the contract, the goal, the conference note, and the paperwork of getting and keeping the job.
Each page explains what the document has to contain to work, then shows a complete worked example. The examples are invented composites, so nothing in them describes a real child.

The documents that shape a lesson and tell you whether it landed.
Substitute Teacher Lesson Plan Template
What a sub needs that your normal plan leaves out, plus an emergency day.
Grading Rubric Template
Analytic versus holistic, and writing criteria two teachers score alike.
Exit Ticket Examples
The three questions worth asking, and sorting a stack in five minutes.
Formative Assessment Examples
Under-five-minute checks, and acting on them in the same lesson.
Behaviour, families and support
How a room runs, how families hear from you, and how support plans are written.
Classroom Management Plan Example
Why most plans collapse in week three, and how to write ones that do not.
Student Behavior Contract Template
Choosing a countable target, and why contracts fade after two weeks.
Parent Teacher Conference Form
Structuring ten minutes, and opening a difficult conversation well.
Getting and keeping the job
The application paperwork, the interview, and the first year.
Teaching Philosophy Statement Example
What committees read it for, and how to avoid the generic version.
Teacher Interview Questions
What panels assess behind each question, plus what to ask them back.
First Year Teacher Checklist
Week one through year one, and what costs new teachers their evenings.
Why these are explanations rather than downloads
The printable side of this subject is thoroughly covered by sites whose product is the file. What is much less covered is the part that decides whether the document works — why a behaviour contract naming six behaviours fails, what makes an IEP goal unenforceable, why a rubric that says "effective" produces two different grades from two teachers.
So each page here explains the document first and then shows a complete example in the body. There is nothing to download, nothing behind an email address, and nothing you have to reformat before using.
Every example is an invented composite
The student names, scores, incidents and family conversations in these pages are fabricated. That is not caution for its own sake: a real classroom example carries a real child's record, and a template is copied verbatim by definition.
It also means the examples are unusually clean. Each was written to illustrate one specific thing about the document, which a real case rarely does as tidily.
Where the US-specific parts are flagged
Several of these documents sit inside a legal or regulatory framework — IEP goals under IDEA, behaviour plans, records that may be disclosed. Those pages say where the framework applies and point at the authority rather than paraphrasing it.
Everything else — planning, rubrics, exit tickets, conferences — transfers across systems with only the vocabulary changing. Where a term differs between systems, the page says so rather than assuming.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, all of them, with no account and no paywall. Each page carries a complete worked example in the body — there is nothing to download and nothing gated behind an email address.
Adapt the structure, replace the content. Every name, score and incident in the examples is invented, so a document copied verbatim would be generic and factually wrong about your students.
The pages touching regulation — IEP goals in particular — are US-specific and say so. Planning, rubrics, exit tickets and conference structure transfer across systems with only the vocabulary changing.
The classroom management plan, before the lesson plan. Most first-year difficulty traces to procedures that were never explicitly taught, and no amount of lesson planning compensates for that.
