Overview
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship is run by France’s Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and implemented by Campus France. It funds outstanding international students at master’s, engineering and doctoral level to study at French higher education institutions.
The process runs backwards from what most applicants expect, and missing that wastes a season: you cannot apply to Campus France directly. You must first approach a French university or grande école, ask about its internal Eiffel procedure, and let the institution put you forward to the ministry.
What the scholarship covers
- A monthly allowance of €1,200 at master’s level
- A monthly allowance of €2,100 at doctoral level

- Not a French national; dual nationals holding French citizenship are generally excluded
