Overview
The Swedish Institute Scholarships for Global Professionals (SISGP) is Sweden’s flagship international award, and it is master’s level only. Bangladesh appears on its list of eligible countries. It covers full tuition, a SEK 12,000 monthly living allowance, a SEK 15,000 travel grant and insurance.
There is a structural trap that catches candidates every year: before you can apply to SISGP you must already have applied to master’s programmes through Sweden’s central admissions portal, universityadmissions.se — and that admissions deadline falls in January, before the scholarship window even opens.
What the scholarship covers
- Full tuition for the master’s programme
- A SEK 12,000 monthly living allowance for the duration of the programme

Frequently asked questions
Roughly two years of full-time work. Part-time work, freelancing and running your own business all count, but each needs a verifiable letter stating the hours. Internships and volunteering generally do not count.
