CKRUET 2026-27: The Combined Test Has Ended — CUET, KUET and RUET Test Separately

The combined admission test of the Chittagong, Khulna and Rajshahi universities of engineering and technology (CKRUET) will not be held for 2026-27. The three universities are testing separately this time: KUET on 8 January, RUET on 14 January and CUET on 23 January 2027 (tentative).
For a student aiming at engineering this cuts both ways. On one side: three applications, probably three fees, and travel to three cities. On the other: three separate chances instead of one bad day deciding everything. This page lines the three up side by side; each has its own page for the detail.

The three tests side by side
The gaps are six and nine days — room to rest and revise after each. Separate tests may also mean different papers: RUET is reported to be going fully MCQ, while the CUET report refers to the earlier 500-mark format.

What the break-up changes
- Three applications instead of one — each with its own deadline; miss one and that university is closed to you.
- Travel and lodging in three cities; RUET’s Dhaka centre eases some of it.
- Three separate merit lists — falling behind in one need not decide the others.
- Preparation may need three flavours, so learn each paper’s structure separately.
Other routes into engineering
