• Write the application on behalf of all the students of your class, so use "we" and "our" throughout, and sign as the students of your class.
• Address it to the Headmaster with a clear subject line stating that you are seeking permission to arrange a study tour.
• In the body, name the place you wish to visit, state its educational value, and request both permission and a one-day holiday for the excursion.
• Keep the tone respectful and formal; mention that a teacher will accompany the students so the school is assured of proper supervision.
• Close with a polite prayer for approval and end with the standard "Your obedient students" subscription.
