An application for re-admission is written by a student who was struck off the rolls and wishes to be admitted again.

How to write it

• This application is from a single student, so write it in the first person using "I" and "my".
• Address it to the Headmaster with a subject line clearly asking for re-admission.
• State honestly why your name was struck off the rolls — for example, a long illness or failure to pay the fees in time — and express regret.
• Assure the Headmaster that the cause has been resolved and that you are now ready to attend classes and pay the dues regularly.
• Close with a polite request to be re-admitted to your class and sign as an obedient student with your name, class and roll number.

Sir

With due respect, I beg to state that I am a student of Class IX of your school, bearing Roll No. 12. My name was recently struck off the rolls as I could not pay my monthly fees in time owing to my father's sudden illness and our family's financial hardship.

The difficulty has now been overcome, and I am in a position to clear all my outstanding dues at once and to pay my future fees regularly. I sincerely regret the delay and promise that such a lapse will not happen again.

As I am very eager to continue my studies and appear at the coming examination, I earnestly request you to re-admit me to my class.

I, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to re-admit me to Class IX and allow me to resume my studies, and thus oblige.
