HSC 2028 Suggestions

Depending on a suggestion costs more at HSC than at SSC, because there are two examinations rather than one — the board and the admission test — and the second honours no suggestion at all.
Why looking now is pointless
A suggestion is a revision order built from past papers — a list of what to sharpen first. In class 11 the chapters have not been read even once, so a revision order means nothing. A sharpening list for material never studied does nothing.
The risk is doubled at HSC
A board paper lets you choose among creative questions, so a suggestion helps there to a degree. An admission test offers no choice — every question must be answered, and they come from the whole syllabus.
| Exam | Risk from a suggestion |
|---|---|
| Board exam | Limited — the paper stays inside the syllabus |
| Admission test | Large — full syllabus, no choosing |
When it does become useful
- In class 11 — no value at all.
- First half of class 12 — little; the job is finishing the syllabus.
- After the selection exam — real value, as a revision order.
- For the admission test — never.
What to spend this time on
Two things repay most — a condensed notebook of formulas and definitions, and drilling each chapter’s multiple-choice questions as you finish it. Both serve the board and the admission test, and in the short window after the result two years from now they are what will carry you.
No announcement on the 2028 syllabus or paper structure has been made; before it, no suggestion can have any basis.
