The two-paper structure — and why waiting on a shortened syllabus is risky here.

HSC 2028 Syllabus

বাংলায় পড়তে চাও? দেখো: এইচএসসি ২০২৮ সিলেবাস

The honest answer to "what is the 2028 syllabus" is that no final announcement has been made. But the basis is the class 11–12 curriculum already in force, and that is what your college is teaching.

What the two-paper split means

Nearly every subject splits into a 1st and a 2nd paper, built from entirely different chapters. Doing well in a subject therefore means mastering two books, and the two are rarely equally hard. Identifying which is harder for you during class 11 makes allocating time in class 12 straightforward.

What is safe to study

Whatever your classroom is teaching. Shortening is announced as removals, never additions — so reading the full curriculum leaves you ready either way, while dropping chapters on a guess leaves them unrecoverable if the announcement differs.

Waiting on a shortened syllabus is riskier at HSC than at SSC, because admission tests generally assume the full curriculum and grant no concession. A chapter dropped for the board is not dropped for the admission test — so there are two reasons to read the full syllabus, not one.

Where the announcement will appear

  • In the curriculum board’s published syllabus.
  • In your own board’s notice, for that cycle’s change.
  • In the written instruction sent to the college, with the subject teacher.
  • Not in a coaching handout — those are frequently from an earlier cohort.

No final decision on the 2028 cohort’s syllabus has been published; it will be added here when it appears. This page asserts no chapter list.
