What the syllabus covers
SSC 2027 runs on the full syllabus, so Bangla covers all of the following:
- 1st Paper prose — the content, author background and central theme of every story and essay
- 1st Paper poetry — the theme, imagery and poet background of each poem
- 1st Paper supplementary reader — the prescribed novel and drama
- 2nd Paper grammar: sounds and letters, sandhi, roots and suffixes, compounds
- 2nd Paper grammar: words and parts of speech, cases, voice, change of narration
- 2nd Paper grammar: sentence structure and transformation, spelling, correct usage, idioms
- 2nd Paper composition: précis, expansion of ideas, paragraph
- 2nd Paper composition: letters and applications, reports, dialogue, essay

How to score well in Bangla
- On creative questions, use the textbook’s own wording for the knowledge and comprehension parts — that is where the marks are most certain.
- The 2nd Paper grammar is rule-based: spend 15 minutes a day on the rules plus ten written examples.
- Prepare 8–10 reusable outlines for essays and reports; in the exam you only slot the topic in.
- Handwriting and presentation directly add marks in Bangla — break into paragraphs and use sub-headings where useful.
A preparation routine that works
- Read the textbook chapter yourself first and get the core idea — starting with a guide book leaves the concept half-formed.
- After each chapter write a one-page note in your own words: definitions, formulas or key points, and an example.
- Solve that chapter’s creative and MCQ questions from past board papers, then check your answers.
- Reserve one day a week for revision only — skim every earlier chapter note.
- Sit at least one full timed model test a month, then work out exactly where you are losing marks.
Frequently asked questions
Scoring 80 or more out of 100 in a paper counts as an A+ for that paper; the subject grade comes from both papers combined.
The subject code for Bangla is 101, 102. You need this exact code on your exam form and on a board-challenge application, so cross-check it with your board’s notice.
Bangla has 2 papers — 1st Paper and 2nd Paper. The marks of both papers combine into the subject grade.
