What the syllabus covers
SSC 2027 runs on the full syllabus, so Mathematics covers all of the following:
- Algebra: real numbers, sets and functions, algebraic expressions

How to score well in Mathematics
- Work every exercise problem by hand, not just the worked examples — in maths, following a solution is not the same as producing one.
- Practise drawing theorem and construction figures with a ruler and compass — a clean figure carries its own marks.
- Keep every formula on one sheet and skim it daily to speed up the MCQ section.
- Write every creative answer step by step — intermediate steps carry marks even when the final answer is wrong.
A preparation routine that works
- Read the textbook chapter yourself first and get the core idea — starting with a guide book leaves the concept half-formed.
- After each chapter write a one-page note in your own words: definitions, formulas or key points, and an example.
- Solve that chapter’s creative and MCQ questions from past board papers, then check your answers.
- Reserve one day a week for revision only — skim every earlier chapter note.
- Sit at least one full timed model test a month, then work out exactly where you are losing marks.
