MIS 2026
MIS does not open at a fixed time each year — MOHE publishes cycle guidelines and the dates are announced there. The 2026 guidelines are out, but because the window shifts between cycles the timeline below is read from the pattern of past guideline releases.

Key dates
| Stage | When | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 2026 guidelines published | Available on the MOHE portal | Confirmed |
| Application window | As announced in the guidelines — varies by cycle | Last cycle’s — not yet confirmed |
| Selection and results | Some months after the window closes | Last cycle’s — not yet confirmed |
Rows marked “last cycle’s” are guidance only — this cycle’s official notice is not published yet. Confirm every date against the official source below before you apply.
What this cycle pays
- RM1,500 a month in living allowance, released every four months on submission of a progress report
- Postgraduate tuition at approved institutions
Questions about this cycle
The rate is monthly, but the money is released in four-month blocks after a progress report. Plan to carry the first few months’ costs yourself.
