Aviation and Aerospace University Admission 2026-27: Test, Eligibility and Marks

The Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh (AAUB) holds its 2026-27 undergraduate test on Saturday 5 December 2026, at BAF Shaheen College in Dhaka and at the Lalmonirhat campus. The postgraduate test falls a day earlier, on 4 December. The university announced this in a notice dated 17 September 2026; application dates have not followed yet.

Unlike most universities this season, AAUB has already published this cycle’s eligibility: science-group students with SSC 2023 or 2024 and HSC 2025 or 2026, each at a minimum GPA of 4.50. Of the four universities covered alongside it here, AAUB tests first.

Eligibility and shortlisting for 2026-27

Candidates are called to the test on their total HSC marks in maths, physics and chemistry. Ties are broken by maths first, then physics, then chemistry — so maths is what separates two equal totals.

⚠️ The notice PDF lists O-level 2022/23 and A-level 2024/25, a year behind the SSC and HSC years — probably carried over from the previous cycle’s text. English-medium students should confirm with the university by phone or email before applying.

The test: 100 marks in two hours

Questions follow the HSC syllabus. A wrong MCQ answer costs a quarter of that question’s marks, so leave a question blank unless you are fairly sure. The written part is worth 40, and practice at setting out solutions step by step pays off directly.

Passing the test is not the last step: a medical board has to clear you before admission is confirmed. Ask the university early which medical standards the board applies.

Programmes, fee and campus

The application fee is Tk 1,000. The permanent campus is in Lalmonirhat, with a Dhaka office at the Old Airport in Tejgaon. No published document gives the intake per programme, so no seat count appears here.

The December–January test sequence

AAUB’s 5 December test opens the season; MIST follows on 18–19 December, BUP’s science and engineering faculties on 8 January and BUET on 16 January 2027. An engineering student drawn to ships or the sea should also look at naval architecture at Bangladesh Maritime University, whose last two circulars appeared in late October.
