Comilla University (CoU) is a public university at Kotbari in Cumilla. It received its charter on 8 May 2006 and began operating on 28 May 2007 with an orientation programme (Wikipedia).

Since 2024-25 CoU has run its own admission test instead of the cluster’s. This page covers the lasting profile and the shape of admission; the 2026-27 application and test dates are on the year page.

CoU at a glance

The faculty and department counts come from Wikipedia and can shift as departments are added, so check the university’s own list before you apply.

Location: Kotbari, Cumilla.
Chartered 8 May 2006; began operating 28 May 2007.
Six faculties — Engineering, Science, Law, Arts and Humanities, Social Science and Business — with 19 departments in all.

What a test of its own means

A single cluster application never reaches a CoU seat. Applying to CoU means its own form, its own fee and sitting the paper in Cumilla. The upside is that a weak cluster result leaves the CoU chance untouched.
