GST Cluster Admission 2026-27: Dates for All Four Units, from 19 March

The GST cluster tests for 2026-27 take place in March 2027: the humanities B unit on 19 March, the commerce C unit and the architecture D unit on 20 March, and the science A unit on 27 March. Units A, B and C sit from 11 AM to noon; D sits from 3 to 4 PM. The vice-chancellors decided this on 17 September; Patuakhali Science and Technology University hosts this year.

The application window, fee, minimum GPA and seat count are not out yet. Last year 19 universities offered roughly 13,500 seats; this year Prothom Alo counts 20 members while some other outlets say 21 — check the final list in the circular.

Which universities are in the cluster

Prothom Alo’s report of 18 September names 20: Islamic University (Kushtia), Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology, Patuakhali Science and Technology, Noakhali Science and Technology, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam, Jashore Science and Technology, Pabna Science and Technology, Begum Rokeya, the science and technology university in Gopalganj, Barishal, Rangamati Science and Technology, Rabindra University, the University of Frontier Technology, Netrokona, Jamalpur Science and Technology, Chandpur Science and Technology, Kishoreganj, Sunamganj Science and Technology, Pirojpur Science and Technology and Naogaon University.

A further report on 19 September says new universities in Bogura, Thakurgaon and Meherpur may join, pending UGC approval. The member count could therefore end up at 20, 21 or higher.

Who is not in the cluster

Since 2024-25 four large universities have left the cluster to run their own tests — Jagannath, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Khulna and Comilla. Each needs its own application and fee, and those whose dates are known test before the cluster does: Khulna in December, Jagannath and SUST in January.

Because the cluster comes last, a science student can sit the December-to-February tests and still be ready for unit A. If the sea or shipping interests you, keep Bangladesh Maritime University’s separate test in view too.

The rules of the last two cycles

• 2025-26: pass mark 30, with 0.25 off per wrong answer.
• 2025-26: a second attempt was allowed — SSC 2021–23 with HSC 2024–25.
• 2025-26: the architecture drawing test was on 10 April.
• 2024-25: an application fee of BDT 1,500, plus 500 for architecture.

The GPA table and fee are 2024-25’s, the most recent year we could fully verify. The 2026-27 terms will come with the circular.
