Notre Dame College, founded in 1949 and sitting in Motijheel in Dhaka, is a private higher-secondary and degree college run by the Congregation of Holy Cross. It is one of the handful of colleges in Bangladesh permitted, under a court direction, to run its own admission test rather than take students through the central system.

Notre Dame College admission circular 2026-27 — where it stands
Notre Dame College's admission circular for the 2026-27 session has not been published yet. A notice signed by the Principal and dated 10 August 2026 says: "As soon as the education board's admission policy is received, all admission-related information for this college will be published on Notre Dame College's own website (www.ndc.edu.bd)."
Yet a dozen sites are already printing last year's dates and seats under the headline "Notre Dame College Admission Circular 2026-27". The one place to check a date is https://ndc.edu.bd/.
About Notre Dame College, Dhaka
That independence is what makes Notre Dame different in practice. The central system selects on the SSC result and your preference order alone; here you also have to do well in a written paper and a viva. A GPA of 5 is therefore not a ticket in — every year a large number of GPA-5 applicants are filtered out at the written stage.
The college teaches all three streams — Science, Business Studies and Humanities — with an English version alongside the Bangla medium in Science. Its club culture is a large part of its identity: the Notre Dame Nature Study Club, Math Club, Business Club and Debating Club among many others are student-run, and several national festivals and olympiads in Bangladesh started inside them.

How to apply to Notre Dame College
You cannot reach Notre Dame College, Dhaka through the central application; its form is on its own website.
Notre Dame first shortlists on the SSC result, then sits those students for a written admission test. The written paper is based on the SSC syllabus — so there is nothing new to learn for it; the preparation you already did carries over.
In the 2025-26 session the shortlist for the written test was the top 1,900 Bangla-medium and top 400 English-version applicants in Science, the top 600 in Humanities and the top 850 in Business Studies.
Shortlisted students then sit a viva, and the final list is drawn from all three together: the SSC result, the written test and the viva.

No. Notre Dame sits outside the central online system, so it is not an option on xiclassadmission.gov.bd and listing it would achieve nothing. You apply directly on ndc.edu.bd, with its own separate fee.
No. In Science a GPA of 5 is only the minimum to apply. A written test and a viva follow, and GPA-5 applicants far outnumber the seats — so the real selection happens on the written paper.
Last session's circular said plainly that applications from O-Level students would not be accepted, and that Bangla-medium students could not apply to the English version. The new circular could change either condition, so check it when it appears.
