HSC Admit Card & Exam Hall Rules

You cannot enter the hall without your admit card. At HSC each subject has two separately examined papers, so checking that every paper code is correctly listed matters even more.
When and where you get it
- The board sends admit cards to colleges; students collect theirs from their own college.
- They are usually distributed 7–15 days before the exams start.
- You must take your registration card to the centre alongside the admit card.
- Keep the admit card until every exam, written and practical, is over.
What to verify on it
- The spelling of your name and your parents’ names.
- Your roll number and registration number.
- Your group and the name of your college.
- That both the 1st and 2nd Paper of each subject appear in the list.
- That the fourth subject is correctly marked — it matters for the GPA calculation.
- The name and address of your exam centre.
What you may take in
- Your admit card and registration card (mandatory).
- At least two pens, a pencil, an eraser and a sharpener.
- A ruler, compass and geometry box where relevant.
- A board-approved simple calculator in subjects where one is permitted.
- A transparent water bottle.
What is strictly banned
- Mobile phones and smartwatches — merely carrying one risks expulsion.
- Programmable or scientific calculators where they are not allowed.
- Books, notes or any paper with writing on it.
- Anyone else’s admit card or papers.
Being caught cheating cancels that exam, and the board can bar you from sitting exams for one or more years.

Tell your college at once. It will arrange a duplicate through the board — this normally needs a GD entry and a fee, and must be done before the exam.
