The agricultural cluster is the joint admission test of the country’s agricultural and agri-technology universities — usually nine of them. One application and one exam open the way into agriculture, veterinary science, fisheries, food engineering and agricultural economics.

These subjects offer good government-job prospects — agricultural extension, livestock and fisheries departments — and open the BCS agriculture cadre.
How to prepare
- Give Biology and Chemistry the most weight — they dominate the paper.
- Read the botany and zoology sections of your textbooks thoroughly.
- Build speed on the formula-based maths and physics questions.
- Do a little English grammar and vocabulary every day.
- There is negative marking, so only guess when you can eliminate at least two options.
- Solve five years of past cluster papers — the style is fairly stable.
