Admission applications are now almost entirely online. The process is simple, but one small error — a wrong photo or a mistyped roll number — can invalidate the whole application. So gather every detail and document before you start.
What to have ready before you start
- Your SSC and HSC roll numbers, registration numbers, board and passing years.
- Your GPA for both exams, both with and without the fourth subject.
- A digital copy of a recent colour passport-size photo, in the exact size specified.
- A scan of your signature, where one is required.
- Your own working mobile number and an email address.

Photo rules — pixel size, file size, background colour — are specified by each university, and an application that does not match is rejected. Read that part of the circular most carefully.
The usual application steps
- Go to the relevant admission website and open the application option.
- Verify your details with your SSC and HSC roll, registration, board and year.
- Check that the name, GPA and group the system pulls up are correct.
- Complete OTP verification with your mobile number — every later SMS goes there.
- Select your unit and, where applicable, your order of preferred centres.
- Upload your photo and signature in the exact specified sizes.
- Review everything once more, then pay the fee.
- Download and print the application, and keep the payment transaction ID.

- A mistake caught before final submission can usually be corrected — so review carefully before submitting.
- Once submitted, contact the admission office helpline or the designated email at once.
- If a photo invalidates the application, there is usually a window to upload a replacement.
- If the payment goes through but the application does not show as complete, contact the helpline with your transaction ID.
